In Zimbabwe, the Agricultural Advisory Service is an extension service established to offer technical advice for farmers and rural community, and also supply them with the necessary inputs and technical services to support agricultural production. The Department was formerly known as AGRITEX. Key services to be provided by AAA:

Technical Expertise: AAA offers access to agricultural experts who provide guidance on various aspects of farming, including crop cultivation, livestock management, soil conservation, and agricultural machinery operation.

Extension Services: Through its extensive network of field agents and extension officers, AAA delivers extension services directly to farmers at the grassroots level, facilitating the adoption of modern agricultural practices and technologies.

Rural Development Programs: AAA spearheads rural development initiatives aimed at improving livelihoods, enhancing food security, and promoting sustainable agriculture in Zimbabwe's rural areas.

Capacity Building: AAA conducts training programs, workshops, and demonstrations to build the capacity of farmers and rural communities, empowering them with the knowledge and skills needed to increase agricultural productivity and resilience.
